"Hither We Go Around Once more" is the first runway and third single from Mariah Carey's eight compilation album, The Rarities. The song was written by Mariah and Ben Marguiles and was released as a limited edition unmarried in Japan on December eleven, 2020 through Columbia and Legacy Records.

Background [ ]

Here We Go Around Once again was written by Mariah and Ben Margulies while Mariah was still in highschool in the 1980s. It is a mid-tempo R&B song and it was the commencement song that the pair penned together.^[1] Before its release, fans speculated that the title of the song was "Here We Go Circular Over again" because Margulies titled the song as such in his interview with Billboard in 2003.^{[2] [3]}

On August 21, 2020, Mariah hosted a listening party for the single "Salve The Day" via Zoom.^[4] This party included fans, journalists and friends.^[5] A correspondent from Billboard who attended the party, described the vocal as being:

On September 9, 2020 Mariah revealed the track-listing for the compilation album, The Rarities.^[6] On the anthology, "Here We Go Around Once again" was listed as the first track.

On September 12, 2020 Mariah announced that 16 of her albums are bachelor on vinyl. In a video promoting this release, a 45 seconds sound snippet of the vocal tin can be heard.^[7]

The song was track #1 of Mariah's very first demo record.^[viii] Mariah has stated that she wanted to include the song on her debut album but she doesn't call up why it wasn't except that she (also every bit others who worked on the rails) felt it didn't capture the magic of the start demo. Mariah has stated that the recording of the vocal that is heard on The Rarities is the closest that "we got" to the demo tape'south version.^[8]

On November 19, 2020 it was announced that the song will be paired with "Loverboy (Firecracker – Original Version)" and released as a limited edition cassette single in Nihon on Dec eleven, 2020. However, on the following day, the cassette was made available worldwide through Mariah's official website.^[nine] It was quickly removed in less than a day.^[10]
